Study permit and visa

International student need study permit to arrive and study in Canada

To come Canada, you need visa

1. You must apply for a study permit if you are coming to Canada for elementary or secondary school, language school, college or university studies that last longer than 6 months.

To get visa, you need LOA

2. For a study permit, you need to have a letter of acceptance from a school, university or college in Canada.

To get LOA, you have to admit in any college or University

3. You need to find a school or program, apply to your program(s) of choice and receive an acceptance letter from a school, college or university in Canada.

How to get a study permit

  1. Get admission in any college or university
  2. Get LOA from college or university
  3. A valid passport 
  4. Bio metrics collection
  5. Submit your application in VAC

Application processing steps

Prerequisites
1. Must be 18+ years old
2. Provide proof of academic standing equivalent to Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD)
3. IELTS (Min 5.5 each module, overall 6 bands) or TOEFL-79 prior to starting the diploma,
if you do not IELTS /TOEFL, contact us to arrange for an ESL course.
4. Copies of High School and/or University certificate
5. Copy of TOEFL/IELTS Certifications
6. Passport copy
7. Employment letters – if available
8. Passport size photo

Before application
1. Choose program from University/College
2. Pay tuition fee (one year direct to College/University)
3. Pay non-refundable Letter of Acceptance (LOA) fee                                             

After receive LOA, apply for visa

For visa application or how to get study permit:
1. Embassy fees (visa application)
2. GIC (Guaranteed Investment Certificate, if any)
3. IELTS certificate
4. LOA (Letter of Authorization) final
5. ITR (Income Tax Return),
6. Bank statement about father or family income
7. Passport
8. PP size photos

9. Bio metrics collection
10. Letter explain reason to go and come back after finish education

Additional charges are applicable as per College/University refund policy (under section 26 (1,2,3,4,5)) should you change the institution after obtaining study permit.
